How Credits Work: What Every AI Image Costs on Banana Art Lab

Banana Art Lab does not use subscriptions. You pay for images with credits, and each model and resolution has a fixed price. This guide lists every price, explains what the free credits and the paid packs give you, and shows a few ways to get more images out of the same credits.

    Start with 10 free credits

Every new account gets 10 credits at sign-up. These trial credits never expire, and you do not need to add a payment method.

Ten credits are enough for one image with Nanobanana or Z-Image Turbo at 1K, so you can try the editor, a template and the full workflow before you decide whether to buy more.

    What each model costs

The cost is charged per generated image and depends on the model and the output resolution you pick in the editor.

    Seedream 5 Lite–12–
    GPT Image 2203040
    Nanobanana 2405080
    Nanobanana Pro405080

A dash means the model does not offer that resolution. Nanobanana generates at 1K only, and Seedream 5 Lite at 2K only.

    Credit packs

When the free credits run out, you can buy a one-time credit pack. There is no recurring charge.

    • Standard: $9.99 for 4,000 credits
    • Pro: $29.99 for 20,000 credits

Paid credits stay valid for 30 days after purchase. The Pro pack has the lower price per credit, so it suits people who create every day; the Standard pack is enough for occasional projects.

To put the numbers in context, 4,000 credits buy about:

    • 400 images with Nanobanana or Z-Image Turbo at 1K
    • 200 images with GPT Image 2 at 1K, or 100 at 4K
    • 100 images with Nanobanana Pro at 1K, or 50 at 4K

The current prices are always on the pricing page.

Five ways to make credits last longer

    1. Draft cheap, finish expensive. Explore ideas with Z-Image Turbo or Nanobanana at 10 credits per image. Once the composition and wording work, run the final prompt on GPT Image 2 or Nanobanana Pro.

    2. Pick the resolution you need. A social post or a thumbnail rarely needs 4K. Generating at 1K or 2K and saving 4K for print or large banners cuts the cost of a Nanobanana Pro image from 80 to 40 or 50 credits.

    3. Start from a template. Templates come with a tested prompt, so you spend fewer attempts finding a wording that works.

    4. Edit instead of regenerating. If an image is nearly right, upload it as a reference image and describe only the change you want. That is usually faster than rewriting the whole prompt and hoping for a better random result.

    5. Match the model to the job. Nanobanana Pro is the model to use for text inside images, posters and multi-reference compositions. For a quick concept or a rough layout, a cheaper model is often just as useful. The model overview lists what each model is best at.

    Frequently asked questions

Do free credits expire? No. The 10 sign-up credits stay in your account until you use them.

Can I combine credit packs? Yes. Credits from several packs add up in the same balance.

Am I charged for failed generations? No. If a generation fails, its credits are returned to your balance automatically. Your credit history lists every charge and refund.

Which model should I try first? Use your free credits on Nanobanana for an edit with a reference image, or on Z-Image Turbo for a pure text-to-image test.
