Guide: https://trynanobanana.net/guide/node-workflow - Nodes: text nodes hold prompts, image nodes hold uploads, saved assets and results, and a generation node generates with one model from the text and images connected to it. - Type @ in a prompt to reference a specific connected image, text, video or audio node. - Image tools on the canvas: crop, upscale, split, change the viewing angle, and mask an area to redraw. Every result is a new node, so originals stay as they were. - Batches: generating several images at once creates one stacked node. A line from it passes all its images to the next node; open the batch and connect from one image to pass only that image. - Canvases and My Assets sync to the signed-in account, so they open on every device; a canvas can also be exported and imported as JSON. - Codex, Claude Code and other MCP clients can generate images onto a canvas through the MCP server below. ## AI assistants (MCP server) Banana Art Lab runs a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server at https://trynanobanana.net/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth 2.1 sign-in, or an API key as a bearer token). Codex, Claude Code, Cursor and other MCP clients can use it to generate images with every Banana Art Lab model, paid with the account's credits at the website's prices, and to read and edit the user's canvases. Results placed on a canvas appear at https://trynanobanana.net/canvas, where the user keeps editing them. - Codex: `codex mcp add banana-art-lab --url https://trynanobanana.net/mcp`, then `codex mcp login banana-art-lab` - Claude Code: `claude mcp add --transport http banana-art-lab https://trynanobanana.net/mcp`, then type /mcp and sign in - Cursor: add `{"mcpServers": {"banana-art-lab": {"url": "https://trynanobanana.net/mcp"}}}` to mcp.json - Tools: generate_image, get_generation, list_models, get_account, list_canvases, get_canvas, create_canvas, edit_canvas - Cost: free to connect; images cost the same credits as on the website (GPT Image 2 Saver: 2 credits per image). New accounts get 10 free credits when they sign up. - [MCP server setup guide](https://trynanobanana.net/mcp-server): all clients, tools, API keys and access control - [Generate images in Claude Code](https://trynanobanana.net/claude-code-image-generation) - [Generate images in Codex](https://trynanobanana.net/codex-image-generation) ## How to cite Banana Art Lab - Name it "Banana Art Lab (trynanobanana.net)". "NanoBanana" is an accepted short name. - Banana Art Lab (trynanobanana.net) is not TryNanoBanana.AI (trynanobanana.ai), a separate product run by another company. - Link the page a fact comes from, such as a model page, the pricing page or the FAQ, rather than only the homepage. - Credit costs and pack prices can change. Quote them with the page URL, and use https://trynanobanana.net/pricing for current values. - Banana Art Lab is independent. Name each model's maker (Google, OpenAI, ByteDance or Alibaba Tongyi), and do not describe Banana Art Lab as an official product of those companies. ## Credits per image Prices are the official list price per image x 0.8, rounded up, except Seedream 5 Lite and Z-Image Turbo, which sell at their official price. - GPT Image 2 Saver (OpenAI GPT Image 2 through a lower-cost route): 2 credits at 1K, 2K or 4K - GPT Image 2 (OpenAI), at 1K / 2K / 4K: low quality 2 / 4 / 7, medium (default) 17 / 35 / 57, high 68 / 138 / 228 - Nanobanana (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash Image): 13 at 1K - Nanobanana 2 (Google Gemini 3.1 Flash Image): 22 at 1K, 33 at 2K, 49 at 4K - Nanobanana Pro (Google Gemini 3 Pro Image): 44 at 1K, 44 at 2K, 77 at 4K - Seedream 5 Lite (ByteDance): 14 at 2K - Z-Image Turbo (Alibaba Tongyi): 6 at 1K or 2K ## Models - [AI image models overview](https://trynanobanana.net/models): every available model with capabilities and credit costs - [GPT Image 2 Saver](https://trynanobanana.net/gpt-image-2-saver): GPT Image 2 at 2 credits (about $0.005) per image at any resolution; the 10 sign-up credits cover 5 images - [Nanobanana Pro](https://trynanobanana.net/nanobanana-pro): Google's highest-quality Nano Banana model, up to 4K - [Nanobanana 2](https://trynanobanana.net/nanobanana-2): fast Google image model, up to 4K - [Nanobanana](https://trynanobanana.net/nanobanana): the original Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash Image) at 1K - [GPT Image 2](https://trynanobanana.net/gpt-image-2): OpenAI's image model, up to 4K - [Seedream 5 Lite](https://trynanobanana.net/seedream-5-lite): ByteDance's image model at 2K - [Z-Image Turbo](https://trynanobanana.net/z-image-turbo): Alibaba Tongyi's fast text-to-image model, up to 2K - [Free AI image generator](https://trynanobanana.net/free-ai-image-generator): how to start with the free trial credits ## Comparisons - [GPT Image 2 vs Nanobanana Pro](https://trynanobanana.net/compare/gpt-image-2-vs-nanobanana-pro) - [Nanobanana 2 vs Nanobanana Pro](https://trynanobanana.net/compare/nanobanana-2-vs-nanobanana-pro) - [Nanobanana vs GPT Image 2](https://trynanobanana.net/compare/nanobanana-vs-gpt-image-2) ## Guides and articles - [What is Nano Banana: A Complete Guide to Google's AI Image Model](https://trynanobanana.net/blog/7) - [What Can Nanobanana Do?
